A new lubricator, distributor and quill have been developed by Loxhams Ltd., Blackburn, in conjunction with William Doxford & Sons Engineers Ltd., and although designed for use on this company's large marine diesel engine cylinders, there must be many applications for this system on industrial power plant and machinery. The system provides very accurately timed injection at the splitsecond required, 1 of crankshaft .0015 sees., and irrespective of the pressure in the cylinder against which it might be injecting.
