A new concept in hotel operation The Caribe Hilton Hotel

A new concept in hotel operation The Caribe Hilton Hotel When the Caribe Hilton Hotel opened its doors to the public on December 9, 1949, it was immediately acclaimed as one of the most outstanding new hotels anywhere in the world. The story of this hotel really began some years before that day, when the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company first conceived the idea to construct a hotel in Puerto Rico which would not only be up to the standards of continental United States hotels but surpass these standards. The fundamental idea behind the plan to build a hotel was to attract tourist business which, in turn, would of course attract tourist dollars to the island. Another important consideration was to bring business men down from the States to make them conscious of the possibilities this island offers with regard to industry, trade, and handicraft. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png The Tourist Review Emerald Publishing

Abstract

When the Caribe Hilton Hotel opened its doors to the public on December 9, 1949, it was immediately acclaimed as one of the most outstanding new hotels anywhere in the world.
