A Model for Evaluating Manufacturing System Time Performances

A Model for Evaluating Manufacturing System Time Performances In a manufacturing system, time performances are measures of systemresponse speed to external influences. This speed depends on theresource allocation process materials, equipment, labour which isdriven by finishedproduct forecasts. Describes two essential steps, inorder to develop a model for evaluating time performances which is ableto detect crucial resources. The first step is represented by analysingforecast characteristics the second step is expressed by a definitionof the environment of manufacturing resources. The model, depicted inits structure and in its relationships with the most common businesstools, has been tested in a number of manufacturing firms and theresults are also shown. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Integrated Manufacturing Systems Emerald Publishing

Abstract

In a manufacturing system, time performances are measures of systemresponse speed to external influences.
