CONSIDERABLE attention has been devoted in the Press to the technical details of the aeroplanes which took part in this year's Europa Rundflug, but one important point seems to have been overlooked almost entirely. And yet it is certainly a noteworthy fact that out of the forty aeroplanes which successfully passed the technical tests, thirtysixthat is 90 per centhad adjustablepitch metal airscrews. In 1930, only one such airscrew was to be seen on the Rundflug aircraft.
