Packing the bowel away from the pelvis has not presented a problem to us. We continue to use a single, large abdominal wet pack, as detailed in our paper, which in the United Kingdom measures 45 x 45 cm; this is considerably larger than the one used by Yuen and could easily explain the problems he was experiencing.
