We investigate the N -player quantum minority game under the scheme proposed by Benjamin et al. (Phys. Rev. A 64 (2001) 030301) when they share a nonmaximally entangled state. We find all pure quantum strategies simply reduce to classical ones when N is an odd number. When N is an even number, fundamentally nonclassical equilibria become available and the players can get higher expected payoffs at the same time.
