Magnocellular reading and dyslexia

Magnocellular reading and dyslexia It is pointed out that the question of the potential role of magnocellular neurons in reading is distinctly separate from the question of whether or not a magnocellular deficit is the cause of dyslexia. These two issues should not be confused. With regard to the second, the data do not at present favor the hypothesis that dyslexia is the result of a magnocellular deficit. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Vision Research Elsevier

It is pointed out that the question of the potential role of magnocellular neurons in reading is distinctly separate from the question of whether or not a magnocellular deficit is the cause of dyslexia. These two issues should not be confused. With regard to the second, the data do not at present favor the hypothesis that dyslexia is the result of a magnocellular deficit.
