One of his colleagues, Philip James, who joined AERE on the same day recalls that “Barry had experience of two-phase flow from his PhD work whereas I was new to the field and although we approached the subject from different directions, Barry’s being more experimental and mine more theoretical, we had many dis- cussions about the intricacies of droplet generation and transport”. Barry James Azzopari, who has died aged 69, was the Lady He became the Lady Trent Professor of Chemical Engineering Trent Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Not- at the University of Nottingham in 1990.
