Hydrodeoxygenation of dibenzofuran to bicyclic hydrocarbons using bimetallic Cu–Ni catalysts supported on metal oxides

Hydrodeoxygenation of dibenzofuran to bicyclic hydrocarbons using bimetallic Cu–Ni catalysts... •Cu–Ni on TiO2, ZrO2, and CeO2 were compared for HDO of DBF at 250, 260 and 270°C.•Cu–Ni/TiO2 achieved highest DBF conversion at 250 and 250°C.•CeO2 and TiO2 supported catalysts achieved equal conversion at 270°C.•Cu–Ni/TiO2 express highest selectivity to Bicyclohexane at all temperature.•The increase in temperature influence both conversion and selectivity positively. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Fuel Elsevier

Abstract

•Cu–Ni on TiO2, ZrO2, and CeO2 were compared for HDO of DBF at 250, 260 and 270°C.•Cu–Ni/TiO2 achieved highest DBF conversion at 250 and 250°C.•CeO2 and TiO2 supported catalysts achieved equal conversion at 270°C.•Cu–Ni/TiO2 express highest selectivity to Bicyclohexane at all temperature.•The increase in temperature influence both conversion and selectivity positively.
