In this report, we describe two cases of C. diphtheriae infection. The first is a case of cutane- ous diphtheria in a Malaysian woman caused by a toxigenic strain of C. diphtheriae. In the second case, a nontoxigenic C. diphtheriae strain was isolated from the blood of a fully vaccinated pediatric patient with underlying congenital heart disease. Case Reports A 50-year-old housewife with underlying type II diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease presented to our hospi- tal emergency room with anemia and a chronic, painless ulcer on her nose.
