A fluorescence ‘turn-on’ detection of α-ketoglutaric acid with silole as the fluorescence... A new fluorescence detection of α-ketoglutaric acid (KA) with the ensemble of silole-A and n-octanohydrazide was developed by utilizing the aggregation induced emission feature of silole compounds and the chemical reaction between KA and n-octanohydrazide. Abstract

A new fluorescence detection of α-ketoglutaric acid (KA) with the ensemble of silole-A and n-octanohydrazide was developed by utilizing the aggregation induced emission feature of silole compounds and the chemical reaction between KA and n-octanohydrazide. The ensemble displays reasonably good sensitivity and selectivity toward KA, and KA with concentration as low as 1.5μM can be detected.
