Dumfries and Galloway architect, Antony Wolffe, describes the acquisition by Dumfries Museum of the papers of the early nineteenth century local architect Walter Newall and gives full credit to David Lockwood – Cultural Services Manager of Nithsdale District Council and as such Archivist and Keeper of the Newall Archives – for achieving the purchase of this outstanding archive. 1
