APPENDIX I: BISHOP GORDON'S RULES FOR SCA LAN dayly recreations they must be allowed one whole afterweekly that they may have such a continuance of diversion & exercise as may reasonably refresh them after their studys; and it seems proper to chuse rather the day of recreation in the midle of the week than in the end of it, so that Wednsday or Thursday may be pitch'd on, unless there fall an holy day on them.
