Recently The New Soundtrack revisited Francis Ford Coppolaâs dazzling, derided 2007 metaphysical puzzle, Youth Without Youth. On May 25, 2011, TNS editors Stephen Deutsch, Larry Sider and Dominic Power were joined in a Skype interview with the ï¬lmâs editor, Walter Murch, and sound designer, Pete Horner, to discuss the sonic layers of Coppolaâs exploration of âtime, sex, language and destiny.â The following is an edited transcript of the conversation that followed.
