Notes on Contributors Comparative Critical Studies 16.1 (2019): v–viii Edinburgh University Press DOI: 10.3366/ccs.2019.0305 C British Comparative Literature Association www.euppublishing.com/ccs KSENIIA BOGDANOVA was born in the majestic city of St Petersburg, the second capital of Russia, where she still resides. Having graduated with honours from the BA and MA programmes at the Faculty of Philology of the St Petersburg State University, she stayed on to pursue a PhD degree, and has published a number of papers relevant to the main subject of her thesis, intertextuality in popular culture. During her time at the University she has won multiple translation competitions under the auspices of the Russian Translators’ Union, such as Sensum de Sensu, Littera Scripta, Eurasia Open, and others, working with two foreign languages (English and Spanish). Her extracurricular pursuits include drawing and writing stories in the English language. COLIN BRAMWELL received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the universities of Edinburgh and Oxford, and currently works in Edinburgh as a freelance translator, editor, theatre-maker and poet. PETER CHERRY is Assistant Professor in Comparative and World Literature at Bilkent University.
