Notes on Contributors Dr Sarah Cleary lectures across a range of subjects from the Gothic to media literacy and researches the juxtaposition between the media and the alleged negative effects of popular culture on children. Passionate about promoting Horror Studies beyond academia, she is an academic consultant on Irish daytime chat shows and in the media. In tandem with her research, Sarah also works as a Film Executive and regularly hosts the podcast Deadly Doses, which features a diverse range of horror industry professionals. She has written extensively on a range of horror and pop culture-related subjects concerning moral panics and controversial horror. Her monograph, The Myth of Harm, will be published in 2022 with Bloomsbury. Dr Jeanette D’Arcy is an interdisciplinary scholar who lives and works in Norfolk. Her research interests include theatre and performance studies, adaptation and transmedia, education, comics and the literary canon. Her work has appeared in The Journal of Adaptation in Film & Performance and The Comics Grid, where she is also editor and workflow coordinator.
