Abstract
W h a t t h e A r c h i v e C o u l d N o t T e l l M e M a r í a C a r l a S á n c h e z fe w weeks ago, the U n ive rsity o f M ichigan had its fall te rm stud y break, days w h en classes do not meet so th a t students can prepare fo r m id te rm exams or com plete assignm ents. I d o n 't know if m any o f m y students actually do this, or if th e y use the tim e to take lo ng w eekend trips. I've never asked. This year, I used th e break to make a research trip to Worcester, Massachusetts, w h ere th e A m erican A ntiq u a ria n Society has its home.
