We investigate queer commons as an emergent form in Turkey through the unfolding of the Gezi Park uprisings in the summer of 2013, which we argue help us think queer through commons, and think commons through queer. This investigation of queer commons as an “emergent” form might at first seem to his - torically erase older forms of what one might think of as queer commons in Turkey, such as certain bathhouses, parks, and fairly cheap adult movie theaters.
