Contributors Miyo Inoue is a PhD student in the East Asian Languages and Cultures Department at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on Japanese film and literature. Her research interests include media representations of social movements in 1960s and 1970s Japan. Aaron Kerner is Associate Professor and has taught in the Department of Cinema, San Francisco State University, since 2003. He was the recipient of an NEA grant for his exhibition Reconstructing Memories (2006). He has published Film and the Holocaust (2011), a chapter on Kurosawa's Rashomon in Film Analysis (2013), and "Gojira's Bones," in Traumatic Affect (2013).
