Abstract
A r c h i v a l C o n f l i c t s : T h e N e w N e g r o M o v e m e n t a n d T H E C A R I B B E A N AS O T H E R J o h n E s c o b e d o n the recently released film Dom ino, com edian and actress M o 'n iq u e plays the charac te r role o f Lateesha Rodriguez, a m ixed race w o m a n stru g g lin g to locate her A fro - Caribbean id e n tity w ith in U.S. categorizations o f race. In an e ffort to a ffirm her heritage, Lateesha participates as a panelist on the J e rry S p rin g e r S h o w to discuss A m erican inter racial identities.
