Abstract

I My Lord, my God, I am undone, My sins before me rise, A threat'ning army thousand strong, That my weak strength defies. 2 They round me throng , they on me press; I have nowhere to flee; Behold, 0 Lord, my deep distress, And haste to succour me . 3 Unworthy, yea I know it, Lord; Yet in thy strength I trust To help me stay this army come To slay me in the dust. 4 Yes, Lord, I was their captain once,- 1 raised this host of hell; On me, their leader, now they've turned With intent dire and, fell. 5 Forgive me, Lord, my darkened past, Which I confess with shame, And hear me as in torment cast I call upon thy name! 6 Like dew upon the waiting earth, Thus fell thy manna free ; So let salvation fall, dear Lord, To feed the soul of me . 7 And, as the water at the feast.
