The role of enterprise systems in supply chain networks: a taxonomy of supply chain strategies

The role of enterprise systems in supply chain networks: a taxonomy of supply chain strategies This paper proposes a taxonomy for supply chain integration strategies. The taxonomy is based on the contingencies of supply chain network coupling and the Extended Enterprise Systems (EES) architecture in the supply chain. The purpose of this model is to map the portfolio of relations in the supply chain and to choose the right supply chain strategy. The work is based on a comprehensive study of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) literature and the study suggests that there is an emerging new research potential for Enterprise Systems (ES) in the supply chain. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png International Journal of Networking and Virtual Organisations Inderscience Publishers

Abstract

This paper proposes a taxonomy for supply chain integration strategies.
