PHYSICAL REVIEW A 87, 049901(E) (2013) A. K. Pan and A. Matzkin (Received 18 March 2013; published 2 April 2013) DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevA.87.049901 PACS number(s): 03.65.Ta, 99.10.Cd In the last paragraph of Sec. III F (page 6), in which recent works dealing with the same topic are briefly discussed, we mistakenly omitted mention of the article by Di Lorenzo and Egues [1]. That paper examines the effect of the detector dynamics on the weak value. While the focus of Ref. [1] is on the contribution of the imaginary component of the weak value to the observable average inferred from the probe, Eq. (14) of that paper gives the probe dynamics for spin measurements without restricting the coupling or the probe states to the weak measurement regime, encompassing Eqs. (29) and (30) of our work obtained under the same assumptions. [1] A. Di Lorenzo and J. Carlos Egues, Phys. Rev.
