Comparison of Smart and Scheidegger Stream Length Models

Comparison of Smart and Scheidegger Stream Length Models The Smart and Scheidegger stream length models are compared and shown to have similar concepts. Discrepancies in the general conclusions reached by the two authors arise from different methods of developing the models and of making comparisons with observation. The results of my analysis of Scheidegger's procedures and the results of tests designed to avoid some of the difficulties encountered there fail to lend any support to the suggestion that interior link lengths increase with stream order. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Water Resources Research Wiley

Abstract

The Smart and Scheidegger stream length models are compared and shown to have similar concepts.
