Genetic Anomalies of the Posterior Segment of the Canine Eye *

Genetic Anomalies of the Posterior Segment of the Canine Eye * Abstract— —The clinical signs and ophthalmoscopic appearance, the breed and age incidence, the histopathological changes, and the mode of inheritance of a number of both congenital and abiotrophic eye conditions in the dog will be discussed. The conditions mainly affect the retina, and are retinal dysplasia, the “collie eye anomaly”, typical colobomatoq defects, and generalised and central forms of progressive retinal atrophy. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal of Small Animal Practice Wiley
