Volume 3: Dutch edited by Frans Hinskens and Johan Taeldeman isa monumental work, whose aim is to give an overview of existing and ongoing researchinto the standard and non-standard varieties of Dutch. The book presents the historiography of the research field in question (Part I), the main dialect areas and regions,including the variations between and within them (Part II), some miscellaneous supra-segmental and less region-bound phenomena (Part III), and the dynamics in varietiesof Dutch resulting from (language) contact (Part IV).
