Die Verse sind, wie man sieht; paarweise gereimt und die Sprache ist so volkst mlich, wie sie sich der Sprachforscher nur w nschen kann. Man erkennt auch gleich, dafs damals schon das geistige Leben auf einem niedrigen Niveau stand; das Gedicht ist im 15., vielleicht sogar im 16. Jahrhundert in einem von den Venetianern besetzten Teil von Griechenland entstanden. Wir haben es in ihm mit einem der letzten Ausl ufer des vielgelesenen, vielkommentierten und Jahrhunderte lang als Erziehungsmittel verwendeten Spaneasgedichtes zu thun; das Werk Falieris, so bescheiden es auch ist, findet den ihm geb hrenden Platz neben den ndern Versionen und bildet den Schlufsstein des Ganzen.
