There was no extensive bidding procedure involved. It is special that the International MicroNanoConference 2015 will be held at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam on December 8th and 9th. No cruise ships dock at that time of the year, so this glamorous site will be available for an in depth exchange between people form science and industry. It will be the 10th occurrence of the MicroNano Conference to date. It began with "The Dutch MicroNano Conference" in 2004. There has been a remarkable evolution towards a real international event this year. The focus of this year's conference will be more than ever on business, already existing or been generated from microsystems and nano scientific research. At the 2013 conference 13 different countries were represented. This year the number of exhibitors and conference participants from many different countries will also increase. It is not so widely recognised, but the Netherlands' yearly investment ratio in nano research of 0.04% since 2007 has been significantly higher than in other countries like Germany, the US, http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Green Processing and Synthesis de Gruyter
