Wort (= Mutter) durch Dissimilation aus dem sp tgr. kommt.1 Der lteste Beleg des Wortes ist, soviel ich wei , die Koseform (= M tterchen) bei Lukian, 2 die man auch als zweifelhaften Typus statt * ansieht.3 Im Mittelalter ist sowohl das Wort wie auch die Koseform (= = M tterchen) an vielen Stellen belegt.4 Heute sind die Formen (= Mutter), , (= M tterchen) gemeinneugriechisch. Die im Sp tgriechischen belegte Koseform ist auch heute in der Form 6 erhalten, z. B. rufen die Frauen ihre Kinder: ! (Vgl. oder und dgl., d. h.: komm hierher, mein liebes S hnchen!). Von kommt auch die Augmentation , die man meistens mit der Bedeutung: ein sch nes M dchen verwendet, z. B. , , ! (= Oh, was f r ein sch nes M dchen!).
