Editorial JIAS 2016; 4(1): 12 Raluca Radulescu* DOI 10.1515/jias-2016-0001 2016 brings another issue of JIAS, which contains work covering a rich and diverse range of topics and authors, while it also continues some of the discussions already started at the latest International Arthurian Congress held in Bucharest in 2014. To start with, two plenaries from the last congress, the XXIVth in the series, are published side-by-side, to form a pair, and to lead to further reflection and conversation: F. P. Knapp's study of topography in Arthurian romance and Danièle James-Raoul's study of style in the French Arthurian corpus. Intended to be read in parallel, these two studies further important work of leading scholars in the society and open up new areas of investigation in their respective fields. As with previous issues of the journal, conversation with the authors is encouraged through the publication of their e-mail addresses and I urge readers to make use of this open invitation to further debate. Complementing this pair is a cluster of selected short papers on `positive emotions' presented at the same congress, edited by Andrew Lynch, who also prefaces them with an introduction, which provides a context for the discussion and http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal of the International Arthurian Society de Gruyter
