Die Zentralbibliothek Zürich im neuen Gebäude als modernes Informationszentrum Aufsätze Die Zentralbibliothek Zürich im neuen Gebäude als modernes Informationszentrum Planung - Bau - Betrieb Rolf Fuhlrott Nach einer langen 25jährigen Diskussions-, Planungs- und Bauzeit ist die neue Zentralbibliothek Zürich am Rande der Altstadt nunmehr eröffnet. Mit dem neuen Gebäude hat der Züricher Architekt Alex Eggimann gleichzeitig die Hülle für ein neuartiges Informationszentrum geschaffen, das damit für das nächste Jahrhundert/Jahrtausend gerüstet ist. Die Informationstechnologie hat heute den Status der gedruckten Medien verändert, und dies zeigt auch die neue Bibliothek durch ihren architektonischen Entwurf. Der lange Weg dorthin wird geschildert, sowie bei einem Rundgang um und durch das Haus werden die Architektur, die Innengestaltung und das bibliothekarische Konzept beschrieben. The information technology has altered the status of printed media, and this reflects the architectural planning.
