S C H E I D W E I L E R / K LN-DEUTZ Die kleine Schrift des Eustathios (Die Hexe von Endor) hat mehrfach die Aufmerksamkeit von Theologen und Philologen auf sich gezogen; man findet einen gut lesbaren Text in der Ausgabe von E. K l o s t e r m a n n , Bonn 1912 (Kleine Texte Nr. 83). Die Fragmente aber befinden sich noch immer in verwahrlostem Zustand: weder F. C a v a l l e r a (S. Eustathii in Lazarum, Mariam et Martham homilia cum commentario de fragmentis Eustathianis, Paris 1905) noch M . S p a n n e u t (Recherches sur les ecrits d'Eustathe d'Antioche, Lilie 1948) haben Nennenswertes zu ihrer Verbesserung beigetragen. Und doch sind auch sie der Beachtung wert. Da hat Eustathios zun chst eine Schrift verfa t. Sie wird teils mit dem Zusatz , teils mit dem angef hrt. Es waren also entweder zwei Schriften oder eine mit zwei Unterabteilungen.
