Crystals grew within 2 months at the border of the two phases. Two AlOó-octahedra are connected at a common edge by bridging O-atoms. The octahedra are completed by the 1,2-dihydroxy function of two purpurine molecules forming a 5-membered chelate rin 6-membered chelate rings are formed by the 1-hydroxy- and 9-keto function of purpurine and Ca. The coordination sphere of Ca is completed by water and dimethylformamide. Metal atoms do not coordinate with the 4-hydroxy function. For electroneutrality disordered H-atoms may be present. Table 1.
