Taxonomic Notes on Some European Trichoptera By BO W. SVENSSON and BO TJEDER Zoological Institute, S-223 62 Lund, Sweden Abstract Lectotypes of Phryganea laevis and brevis Zet- terstedt, 1840, are designated and the synonymy caused by this action is given. � The species Hydro- psyche instabilis (Curtis, 1834) and H. siltalai Döh- ler, 1963, are discussed and H. siltalai is con- sidered to be synonymous.-Limnephilus hirsutoi- des Svensson, 1971, is stated to be the same as L. tauricus Schmid, 1964. � Triaenodes forsslundi Tjeder, 1941, is degraded to synonymy of Tr. si- mulans Tjeder, 1929. � Figures of the ♂ genitalia of the Scandinavian Micrasema "nigrum" are given and its identity is discussed. 1. Phryganea laevis Zetterstedt, 1840, and Phr. brevis Zetterstedt, 1840 Phryganea laevis was described by Zetter- stedt in 1840 in Insecta Lapponica, p. 1065. Its distribution was stated to be: "Hab. in Lapponia Tornensi passim; ad Kengis frequenter; 20-24 Aug. in copula capta (Lappon.- Bottn. borealis ad Calix, Scania 14-22. Sept. in copula passim)." In Zetterstedt's "Insecta-Lapponica-collec- tion" in the museum in Lund only two speci- mens are present, 1 d and I Y on the same pin, with the label "Phr. laevis Zett. J
