The original idea was not to have informal discussions, but rather to have a means to send messages to the Vision community. The messages would be sent to me and I would forward them to the CVNet list that I maintained. It was not nearly as sophisticated as CVNet run by Hoover Chan. He took it over from me some time around 1993. When I ran it, the main use was to distribute various announcements, jobs, meeting, etc. I do recall, on occasion, the message I would send to the list was a question posed by someone else on the list. I have no recollection of sending replies to everyone to the initial question. I would assume replies went directly to the person http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Spatial Vision Brill
