Fiddian and P. Evans, Challenges to Authority. Fiction and film in contemporary Spain, London, Tamesis, 94 pp., examine the interrelationships between Spanish lit. and cinema in the period I95g-82; contains individual readings of six texts including Martin-Santos's Tiempo de silencio and Saura's Carmen, and examines artful challenges to the authority of the State.
