' We are in the fortunate position of being outside the war, but never- theless we feel the war in this country, and for nearly two years we have lived under the. occupation of a foreign belligerent power. It is a good thing that this occupation is carried on in a considerate manner, but it is, of course, a heavy burden on the entire Danish people, a burden of which we are all anxious to be relieved. But it ,is not enough that the occupying power shows a considerate demeanour. It is also necessary that one loyally submits to this power and avoi.ds provocations and conflicts. The government and Rigsdag exist and take care of the interests of the population in the best possible way, but naturally the conditions under which we live require that political steps of a different nature from that which is usual may become necessary, but this should not iead to purposeless demonstrations such as those which took place a couple of months ago when 3 or 400 young people demonstrated in the streets,
