Saudi Arabia-the New Constitution-the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 258 SAUDI ARABIA-THE NEW CONSTITUTION- THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA In the name of God: the Compassionate; the Merciful No. A/90 Date 27 Shaabin 1412 AH With the help of God Almighty: We, Fahd bin Abdul Aziz: Monarch of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; In consequence of the exigencies of the public interest and in line with the developments undergone by the State in the various fields and with the aim of achieving the cherished objectives; We had ordered the following: (1) Enactment of the Basic Law of Rule (Constitution) in the form attached hereto; (2) All the laws, orders and regulations in force for the time being on the (date) of operation of this law shall remain operative until they shall have been amended to conform to its provisions.
