The participants on the panel were Sheila Fitzpatrick (discussant), - J. Arch Getty, Hiroaki Kuromiya, Roberta Thompson Man- ning (ch3ir),. Anne Rassweiler, Ronald G. Suny, and Lynne Viola. Peter Gooderham, Patricia Kennedy Grimstcd, George Liber, Peter Solomon, and Steven Wheatcroft kindly agreed to contribute articles on their respective specialties for the issue. ' The contributions contained in this issue are not in- tended as reference works, but, instead, as discussions of. sources and presentations of bibliographic surveys.
