It cannot be denied that in certain Catholic and Protestant circles, his growing influence can scarcely be overestimated. The interest in DE CHARDIN'S "vision" (the word often used by himself to denote his world- and life view) is caused by this attempt to give a new impetus to Christian thought and action in the broadest and deepest sense.
