The occurrence of the notostracan, Triops cancriformis mauritanicus (Ghigi, 1921), the anostracan, Branchipus cortesi Alonso & Jaume, 1991, and the spinicaudatan, Cyzicus grubei (Simon, 1886) in Extremadura, was also confirmed. These records increase the number of species of large branchiopods reported from Extremadura from three to eight.
