NEMATODE FOSSIL TRACKS OF EOCENE AGE FROM UTAH BY MOUNIR T. MOUSSA University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico Exceptionally well preserved wavelike fossil tracks, which are interpreted as nematode tracks, occur in large numbers in association with other fossil tracks in the Green River Formation (Middle Eocene) at two localities in southwestern Uinta Basin, Utah. In the Soldier Summit area the track-bearing beds occur near the base of the delta facies 320 m above the base of the Green River Formation, and they were traced along an outcrop distance of more than 40 km. In upper Timber Creek in Wasatch County, a track-bearing dolomitic limestone bed occurs 1380 m above the base of the Green River Formation and it falls in the upper part of the Parachute Creek Member or the lower part of the Evacuation Creek Member. A nematode fossil record from the Green River Formation of Middle Eocene age in the southwestern part of the Uinta Basin, Utah (U.S.A.) is reported.
