His trans- lation of the seven chapters is based upon his not yet published critical edition of a unique Sanskrit manuscript from Tibet. In his introduction he summarizes the contents of all eleven chapters (pp. 110–117). Lindtner’s translations are all done from the original texts in P ali, Sanskrit, Tibetan and Chinese. In several instances, his interpretation disagrees with previous translations. I hope with my limited knowledge of Danish to have given some idea of the contents of these two volumes which contain many original ideas and translations of several texts not found in other anthologies.
