Nevertheless, many rather complicated problems concerning this writing remain un- solved. The present publication is an admirable compendium of the solid work done by DE JONGE and his Leiden collaborators in the course of the last one or two decades, especially in the field of textual tradition. The papers included in the volume are divided in three parts. In part I H. J.
