131 Letter from the President Dear Friends, Greetings and prayerful good wishes to all of you for the year 1996, still new, invoking the Lord's blessings on you and on your mission. The new year, of course, brings us the good news of the IAMS Conference at Buenos Aires, Argentina. The local organizing committee, under the leader- ship of Dr. Nestor Miguez, has been particularly busy, as they had to change the venue of the Conference from San Miguel to downtown Buenos Aires. We are very grateful to them. In the course of last year Dr. Joachim Wietzke left his post at the Evangeli- sches Missionswerk (EMW) at Hamburg on being invited to become Director of Mission Concerns in his own Church. Since the Secretariat of IAMS is based at EMW, IAMS also loses a devoted, competent, enthusiastic and efficient Secretary in the person of Dr. Wietzke. The Board of EMW, however, has made available to us the services of Dr. Klaus Schafer. He has taken over as Acting Secretary and is already deeply involved in the preparation of the next Conference. On behalf of all the members I would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr.
