After the recent re-editions and translations of Aristotle Parva Naturalia as a whole and of individual treaties that are part of it, it was to be expected that this group of Aristotelian works would be examined in the form of new studies and research pro- posals. e present book is the result of the initiative of Pierre-Marie Morel, to whom we owe the fine new French edition of the Parva Naturalia , and of a number of scho- lars that Morel has gathered around a project oriented precisely to investigate the particular topics introduced by this group of Aristotle’s treaties, known under the Latin name of Parva Naturalia , into the larger and more complex psychology of the De anima .
