ENVIRONMENT Legislative Decree No. 152 of 13 April 2006 (GU No. 88 of 14 April 2006). Legislative Decree No. 152/2006 was adopted by the Italian Government in April 2006, upon delegation by the Italian Parliament which had been issued by means of Law 308/2004, after more than two years of preparation. It primarily aims at promoting a high level of quality of life for human beings through environmental protection and improvement and prudent use of natural resources. This objective is to be achieved by streamlining, coordinating and integrating Italian environmental legislation in force as well as its applicative measures, both deriving from the EC legal order, in the following ¿elds: ­ Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Strategic Impact Assessment (SEA); ­ Integrated Prevention Pollution Control (IPPC); ­ Water protection and Water Resources Management; ­ Waste Management; ­ Ambient Air Quality; ­ Environmental Liability.
