" Sur un theme de Leopardi', proposes De passere et ape in the Speculum sapientiae, as one possible source for L.'s poem. G. Getto, 'I capitoli "francesi" de I promessi sposi', modifies previous attempts to relate chs IX and x, e.g., to Diderot or La Harpe. F.
