Th e volume under review consists of a collection of essays written by an array of infl uential thinkers on the topic of indigenous peoples’ rights. Th e aim of the book is to provide an insight into the key theoretical and practical issues concern- ing indigenous rights, through the lens of a broad range of disciplines occupying themselves with the matter. Th e text is divided into four freestanding but complementary parts containing a total of 17 essays, all of which have been previously published as journal articles between 1997 and 2003. It opens with an introduction by the editor that pres- ents an interesting overview of the major issues that lie at the heart of most of the essays in the collection. Anthony J. Connolly’s piece, moreover, succeeds in pro- viding a concise but comprehensive framework of the foundational questions that have traditionally concerned theorists when dealing with indigenous peoples’ rights, as well as placing this theoretical International Journal on Minority and Group Rights Brill
