Abstract

INDECLINABLE (MOULTON PROLEG. 50) Some N.T. philologists may not be familiar with such parallels as are mentioned by L6FSTEDT, Late Latin (Oslo r959) 133, e.g. Cod. Dipl. Long. I p. 90, 14 (A. D. 720) et constant (= constat) me in omnibus esse suppletits, et nihil mihi in amplius pretium reddevire videris; set omnia mihi cumpletus pariasti. Perhaps this is part of a tendency in more than one language towards indeclinable, absolute or similar expressions of measure- ment and quantity. A few miscellaneous examples are pondo, plus minus 8aov (in osov 7cLxpuackyylv etc.), K§p (Nahum i 10 "as stubble full[y] dry"). Egyptian hnkt, ds 2 ("beer, two jugs" GARDINER, Eg.
